SvalMIZ-26 (April – June 2026)
SvalMIZ-26 took place from April 2026 through 14 June 2026, targeting the Marginal Ice Zone north of Svalbard. The campaign covers a similar area as SvalMIZ-25.
18 OpenMetBuoys were deployed as a distributed observation network, supporting coupled atmosphere-ocean-wave-sea-ice process studies and forecast system evaluation in Arctic conditions.
